Molina Apple Health Credentialing

By George RuanJuly 14, 2026

Last verified: July 14, 2026.

Molina’s Washington provider page still contains an important HCA prerequisite and a high-risk credentialing conflict: it mentions ProviderSource even though Washington’s statewide credentialing guidance moved to CAQH in 2024.

Short version: Register every required claim NPI with HCA, submit Molina’s current participation request, and verify Molina’s current credentialing-data process rather than following outdated ProviderSource instructions.

Sections

HCA NPI prerequisite

Molina’s Washington provider page says all required NPIs on a claim form must be registered with HCA before contacting Molina. That should be treated as a preflight check for billing, rendering, and group identifiers.

ProviderSource warning

The same Molina page references ProviderSource. Official Washington credentialing guidance says CAQH became the credentialing vendor in 2024 and ProviderSource access through OneHealthPort ended December 31, 2023. Verify Molina’s current operational process directly before submitting.

Molina onboarding checklist

  1. Confirm HCA registration for every claim NPI.

  2. Use Molina’s current network-management or contracting route.

  3. Prepare W-9, group data, roster, licenses, CAQH/DataSpring, and locations.

  4. Confirm contract, effective date, portal, eligibility, PA, and claim routing.

Where Bomi Fits

Bomi helps therapy practices keep the operational layers aligned: HCA/ProviderOne enrollment, CAQH/DataSpring profile maintenance, MCO applications, portal access, eligibility checks, claim routing, denials, revalidation reminders, and first-paid-claim verification. The goal is not just an approval letter; it is billable access for the Apple Health members you actually see.

Operational note: This is general billing and credentialing education for Washington therapy practices, not legal, compliance, or payer-specific billing advice. Confirm current HCA, ProviderOne, CAQH/DataSpring, OneHealthPort, MCO, provider-manual, authorization, telehealth, and contract requirements before submitting enrollment, claims, or portal requests.
